Complete seismic retrofit of a nine-story masonry, steel, and concrete building with elevator modifications. Designed and detailed steel slotted-bolted connection braced frames and diaphragm retrofits using results from a non-linear time-history analysis. Also designed new gravity framing. Developed non-linear hinge properties using FEMA 356.
